Friendship. 

I thought I knew all that I needed to about friendship by age 18. I entered college, joined my college’s MSA(Muslim Student Association) and I was blown away. The first time I entered I had an array of sisters with the kindest smiles and the most beautiful hearts, earnestly saying ‘Asalaamulaikum’ and never left since then. Alhamdulillah Allah[swt] has been so merciful, this MSA has the most amazing Muslimahs you could ever meet. The love for a sister they met for the first time, the love for a sister who struggles with her hijab or even takes off her hijab. It doesn’t matter because we all are one and that is one amazing sisterhood of this Ummah. Sisters leave and new ones enter but they never truly leave they are always in my du’a and inshAllah I am in theirs too.

I love them all for the sake of Allah[swt] because what better reason is to love a person than to please God? I am always amazed that no matter what day of the week you can always find a sympathetic shoulder, a pure heart, a helpful ear, a reminding tongue and a blessed soul. I know these friendships will last a long time inshAllah and I hope that in Jannah we will be even close. Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulilah for my sisters of QC MSA <3
